Bodega is holding a mini ramp contest on May 2, to benefit the ASPCA. So far they have raised about $250, with a goal of $500. There’s tons of prizes and $250 in cash giveaways as of right now, with more to come.

Shields Skatepark is hosting The 3rd Annual Skate Shop Showdown to benefit the Buonoconti Fund, to cure paralysis. The event will be held on Sunday, April 25, from 11am to 7pm.

This year, in order to give more money to the cure Shields is opening the contest to Independent deck, clothing and other skate industry vendors as well as the brick and mortar shops.

Each company pays $150 (check made out directly to the Buonoconti Fund to Cure Paralysis) to field a team of 5 riders. Top 3 scores count and the winner takes home a 4ft high trophy.
