In celebration of Earth Day’s 40th anniversary on April 22nd, Habitat will be releasing a special “Earth Day” colorway in the “Charter” boat shoe. A corresponding limited edition Cork-Ply cruiser deck and an organic t-shirt will accompany the shoe. The Earth Day Charter has an all natural canvas upper, vulcanized outsole with gum rubber bottom, cork lined PU footbed, waxed cotton laces, and will be constructed with all water based adhesives. The matching deck, shirt, and insole are printed with Habitat’s classic “Rebirth” design along with the slogan “Naturally Designed for Life & Death.” The classic shaped “Earth Day” cruiser is constructed with all water based glues and adhesives. The dimensions are 7.75” wide by 30.15” long and it’s laminated with a full cork top layer. Look for the complete Habitat 2010 “Earth Day” product line at shop near you this April!

On Saturday at 3:30pm, THE GOAT will be making a very special appearance for a signing at the Emerica Tent at the Phoenix Am! Booyeah! The signing comes a few hours before the after-party that night with skate-rock shredders Bad Shit, and hardcore legends The Bad Brains!

Geoff Rowley will be at Utility Board Shop in Upland, CA this Saturday, April 10th from 1pm-3pm to celebrate the release of his new Vans signature shoe, the Rowley “Style 99’s”.

This year’s installment of the Harold Hunter Classic will take place on Sunday, April 18th at the Seward Park High School Gymnasium.

This year’s HH Classic will feature two special events including “The Ultimate Dodgeball Throwdown” and “The Skater’s Challenge,” designed specifically for older skaters who want to dig deep and pull out some of their finest tricks from the ’80s and ’90s. The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission has agreed to spend $2 million to build one of the largest skateparks on the East Coast in downtown Charleston.

Pouritnow.com and local skaters are pushing for a 40,000 square feet facility which would be the same size as Louisville Extreme Park in Kentucky.
