Ryan Sheckler really tore it up on the 16 set at Thrasher’s Bust or Bail 2008 in San Francisco’s Paul Revere Elementary School. Mellow Jay took a hard slam on the rail then the pavement, but seemed to walk away OK. Although, didn’t seem to have anything for the rail or stairs afterwards.
Leticia Bufoni has some amazing heart, I don’t know many guys that would even attempt these stairs. She never road away but you have to give it to her for trying.

Andrew Langi took third with some insane rail tricks. He skated the rail as if he ha just woke up, with the nice lazy style that made all his tricks look so easy. It would fool a lot of people into thinking sliding down a 16 step handrail was a piece of cake. Andrew Reynolds had some sick tricks with his magnetized feet, he stuck every landing.

A lot of things have been said about Ryan Sheckler, but no one can make the claim that he can’t skate. He flipped like he was buttering toast – smooth, and easy… Honestly, I always think pre-fab’d park and big corporate contest when Sheckler’s name comes up, then I see him skate street and I say, Oh yeah he’s that good. All his tricks were text book, and would have looked the same on flat ground or down 16 stairs.
Results for Bust or Bail 2008:
1. Ryan Sheckler
2. Andrew Reynolds
3. Andrew Langi

In its fifth year, Automatic Magazine’s Battle of the Shops Presented By Adio has become one of the most highly anticipated amateur skate contests of the year. Its appeal comes from its unique format. The contest is divided into four categories. These categories represent the four major disciplines of skateboarding: Rail, Transition, Technical, and Gap.
